Q: I want to contribute to your organization, how can I go about doing that?
A: Click on the "G.E.T. Involved" tab and go to the "Donate" page for more information. In the future Green Energy Team will have a PayPal account for your convenience.
Q: How does G.E.T. decide who receives green technology solutions?
A: Every community has a local government list of those Americans who recieve federal funds to help them with their energy costs. Green Energy Team as a non-for profit organization has access to this list and uses it discretely to ask those on the list if they would be interested in our donation program.
Q: Why is Green Energy Team's recycling program considered to be "green recycling"?
A: Most companies who have recycling programs charge their customers for their service. The funny thing is that only 1/3 of the recycling actually gets re-used. This process is called "mixing", meaning that 2/3 of the recycling gets placed with regular trash and put into a "green landfill", as if there is such a thing! Green Energy Team formally recycles 100% of all intake, making sure it is ALL re-used, making it completely green recycling.
Q: How do I start a Green Energy Team chapter at my school?
A: First thing, go to your school's student activities office and get the information for starting a student organization. Every school is different so Green Energy Team needs this information. After you have that information call or e-mail the "G.E.T. on Campus" representitive from the website tab.
Q: Is the recycling program completely free?
A: This answer has two parts. For college/university participants, businesses, and residential the answer is yes, the program is cost free. All we want from these participants is their recyclables. Green Energy Team also offers our services to special events and festivals. For these events we ask that a reasonable amount be donated to Green Energy Team for our participation and efforts. Green Energy Team appreciates these donations and every dollar will be used to further our efforts to help those in need.
